Sowbhagya Housing Society had created a layout in Thiruporure OMR called Thiruporure Vijayam Sowbhagya Housing Co-operative Maha Nagar in the year 2007.
Many of us had bought land in this society, the number of plots sold available are as under:
Plot 39 to 51 ------ 13 plots
Plot 602 to 853 ---- 251 plots
Total of 264 plots varying is sizes from 5885 to 1900 sqft.
After 6 years of our investment, we find the layout completely ignored. It does pain to see our investment ignored and am sure all other investors have similar feeling just in case they have visited the place recently.
I did visit the place in Oct 2013.
Though Sare homes have built flats in the vicinity, our portion of the plots look deserted and completely ignored.
Have created this blog to bring to the attention of our fellow investors the following:
1. Update status regularly with photographs when ever possible on status of the layout.
2. Since we do not know each other I guess we are not able to take care of this layout
3. Let us create a group of all members in this layout.
4. The group should get together and start taking care of the layout for our own good
5. We should start a "Thiruporure Vijayam Housing Cooperative Owners Association"
6. This association should lay out a plan to maintain the layout in the best possible way.
Have also created an email where all of us can communicate and create a group.

ReplyDeletehi Baig, Very great initiative . count me to the group I and group of 4 friends invested in this property. I really feel sad at the growth of this property.We would have been better if we had invested in mere fixed deposit on that day. The problem is buying and selling has reduced in these lands and unless otherwise the dewy terraces are fully occupied and becomes operational with the train station etc I dont see a big future for this lands. I saw a ad for 6 plots sale asking price was 1400 Rs per Sqt.

ReplyDeleteI visited the site in end of Dec 14 and was appalled to see the state of the land. One of the plots ( dont know to whom it belongs) was being used a dumping ground for rubbish mainly plastic bags. I am also finding it difficult to approach my plots.

I am ready for any common suggestion that may emerge. What I did see is that there is a proposal for NH-45A to cut through the area as well as for an electric substation and a railway line! ReplyDeleteI was informed by locals that bypass for OMR is to be laid and will run close to our site. This is to avoid non availability of land for expanding OMR in Kelambakkam and Thiruporur junctions. Japanese township is coming up close to Thiruporur and a Senior Citizen Home is under construction. The area may also get a railway line.

ReplyDeleteFirst we have to decide what we want to do. I hear many people commenting about lack of development. I for one would be worried if someone occupied our plots and developed without our knowledge. I received a mail asking for a huge amount of money for annual maintenance which is uncalled for. What we need is just security and exchanging views about external developments such as whether any government planned infrastructure is going to pass thru the plot or some new real estate developments is taking place nearby

i too own a plot there and visited site on this saturday i;e 19-9-2020 but was very upset to see the ignored site. Main road broken,muddy,no link roads visible and dense shrubs in that whole area.Neither any numbering was visible nor conneting roads.it was like a forest. I am happy that some of Owners have taken initiative to share information.
